Often big lessons are learned through making mistakes, sometimes big mistakes.

Example: Guy wants to record some music and saves up a long time to buy the supercool big keyboard that does everything. He buys it, puts it on the coffee table, spends weeks reading the manual. Tries recording with it but can't figure it out. Keyboard accumulates dust. Wife accumulates desire to have coffee table for coffee related purpose. Keyboard makes the move to its box until a place is decided for it. Place not decided. eBay ad reads: Keyboard new in box, hardly used, MINT. Sells for half the price guy paid. Ouch!

Example: Happy engineer finishes his big project- burns a CD, gives it to the client a week later, erases the files off the hard drive to make room of his next project, to have the client call back that afternoon saying he "left the CD in a cab and needs another copy." Ouch! No way to make a copy, files don't exist anymore. I guess the lesson learned is spend the extra 15¢ to make an extra copy-- except it cost reputation and bad word of mouth.

My point is:
YOU DON'T HAVE TO MAKE A BIG MISTAKE IN ORDER TO LEARN A LESSON!

If you find yourself up all night trying to figure out how to get the so-and-so to just who-do-wah and not blah-za-wee so much, chances are I've already had that sleepless night, and can walk you through the solution.

I've saved my clients thousands of dollars by getting them to purchase the right equipment the first time, and use it- make their money back and get to the next cool thing.

It's true that studying all this stuff about how to record can be fun and a hobby in itself, but I guarantee you, doing the actual recording is WAY more fun, a way better hobby and a yet better profession.

I specialize in answering the questions that hang my clients up for weeks, showing them the gear that will get them the sound they've been after, introducing them to software shortcuts which cut out the time wasted on clicking, so they can get on with it. Start Playing!
